Motorists kept RCMP busy over the Labour Day weekend.

The Wood Buffalo Integrated Traffic Unit (ITU) reports they issued 355 tickets during the four-day blitz.

They also handed out 14 written warnings.

That amounts to 369 separate roadside visits with drivers on our region’s roads.

RCMP also ask drivers to exercise patience and courtesy on the roads.

According to the Alberta Traffic Safety Calendar, police laid 219 charges for aggressive driving.

During the August long weekend, police from the Gregoire detachment issued 222 traffic tickets.
