PHOTO. Cruze Flett, 8 and Parker Flett, 11, are two brothers who created "Fort Mac Hockey Bros" in efforts to help hockey players throughout the RMWB the proper hockey equipment.

The Fort Mac Hockey Bros will donate a hockey themed tree to the Northern Lights Health Foundation’s Festival of Trees Gala once again this year.

Brothers Parker and Cruze Flett submitted a tree last year which sold for $100,000 between Finning and Suncor.

That tree was a record sale for the annual gala and included thousands of dollars worth of hockey equipment to be given to youth in need.

“We’ve seen the number of registered kids go up in our hockey program since youth in our community received the donated hockey equipment last year. Being able to fully equip and welcome new kids into the program was very heartwarming! The Fort Chipewyan hockey program is so thankful for being included in this campaign again this year”, said Angela Marcel, with the Minor Hockey Association.

This year, the winning bidder of their tree will also have the opportunity to accompany the Hockey Bros to donate collected gear.

You can help the Hockey Bros by bringing new hockey gear to their drop box at 196 Pliska Cres.

You can also get in touch through their Facebook page, or by emailing fortmachockeybros@shaw.ca.

Donations will be collected until Nov. 9.
