The Salvation Army of Fort McMurray announced the return of their Christmas Kettle Campaign.

The non-profit organization also needs ready and able volunteers to help them reach its $200,000 goal.

Various two-hour shifts, between Mondays and Saturdays, are available at participating locations:

  • Canadian Tire
  • Michelle’s Independent
  • Peter Pond Mall
  • Save-On Stonecreek
  • Sobeys Thickwood
  • The Real Canadian Superstore
  • Walmart

The kettle campaign runs from Nov. 18 to Dec. 23, 2019, with donations helping fund Salvation Army’s community and family services year-round.

Major Steve Hibbs said the campaign only raised $185,000 in 2018.

“All Kettle donations stay in this community to support our year-round programs to restore hope, and to help, any person who needs us.”

Volunteers may register with Wood Buffalo Volunteers on their website.
