Athabasca Chipewyan First Nation re-elects Chief Allan Adam

The Athabasca Chipewyan First Nation re-elected Chief Allan Adam for a fourth consecutive term.

A lifelong resident of Fort Chipewyan, he first served as a councillor in 2003.

ACFN members also elected four councillors.

They re-elected Councillor Teri Villebrun and elected Councillors Hazel Mercredi, Tim Flett, and Flossie Cyprean.

Jack Flett shall serve as Member Trustee of the K’ai Taile Denesoline Trust.

Alongside him is Alyssa-Mae Laviolette, who the membership previously elected by acclamation as the Trust’s Youth Member Trustee.

Also, ACFN thanked outgoing Councillors Raymond Cardinal, Michelle Voyageur, and Jonathan Bruno for their service to the community.
