The Santa Claus Parade is just around the corner.
Become one of Santa’s elves by walking, riding, or driving in the parade on Dec. 7, 2019.
Volunteer spots in the parade fill quite quickly, so register today on the Municipality’s website.
Safety first
Also, Kris Kringle placed a large emphasis on safety in this year’s parade.
Coordinator Roxane Andras said there are major updates to the rules and regulations for attendees and parade entries.
“We want everyone to enjoy the parade safely. This means spectators must remain on the sidewalk at all times, and people in and on vehicles must follow safety regulations.”
To avoid landing on Santa’s naughty list, parade entries must adhere to all safety requirements.
Furthermore, there are changes to the parade route.
The parade route will now start on Riedel Street, proceed north on Franklin Avenue, and end at Main Street.
Registration for parade entry closes on Nov. 22, while volunteer registration ends on Dec. 5.
