The Keyano College Gala raised more than $200,000, an increase of $55,000 compared to last year.

Nearly 1,000 guests got dressed up for the event on Nov. 2 to support post-secondary education in the region.

This year, the gala featured country music star George Canyon as the headliner and multi-CCMA award-winning group Emerson Drive.

President and CEO of Keyano College, Dr. Trent Keough, said the funds will help more students reach their goals.

“I can’t say enough about our remarkable partners, donors, and friends. We couldn’t do this without their generous support. These funds will directly impact our students’ lives and provide opportunities that otherwise would not exist.”

All of the funds raised will go towards student awards and bursaries at the college.
