Feasibility study being done for downtown indoor multi-purpose facility

A feasibility study is being done on the idea of an indoor multi-purpose facility downtown.

The municipality is inviting you to share thoughts and input through an online survey.

There are also multiple engagement sessions scheduled:

  • Thursday, Nov. 14, 4-8 pm, Suncor Community Leisure Centre main concourse
  • Saturday, Nov. 16, 1-4 pm, Syncrude Sport & Wellness Centre main concourse
  • Monday, Nov. 18, 3-7 pm, Suncor Community Leisure Centre main concourse
  • Thursday, Nov. 21, 4-8 pm, Syncrude Sport & Wellness Centre main concourse
  • Friday, Nov. 29, 1-9 pm, Christmas Show & Market, MacDonald Island
  • Saturday, Nov. 30, 10 am-6 pm, Christmas Show & Market, MacDonald Island
  • Sunday, Dec. 1, 10 am-4 pm, Christmas Show & Market, MacDonald Island

 

These sessions are the first phase of engagement, which will focus on gathering general public feedback to determine if the idea is something the community should further consider.

Additional engagement with Indigenous and rural communities, stakeholders and community groups will be held in the coming months.
