Wood Buffalo RCMP have confirmed that there was a fatality after a multi-vehicle crash closed a portion of Highway 63 on Friday. Nov. 15, 2019.
The 51-year old male from Calgary was confirmed deceased on scene.
A second person was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries by Wood Buffalo Emergency Services and two people were treated and released on scene with minor injuries.
The highway was closed for several hours while RCMP conducted a thorough investigation. They do not believe alcohol or drugs were a contributing factor to the collision.
