Upon further investigation, RCMP revealed the truck, which Herman previously occupied, was a stolen vehicle from Fort McMurray.
Police arrested Guynavin Grant Herman and charged him with two counts of possession of property obtained by crime.
He also faces counts of theft over $5000, resisting arrest, and failure to comply with an undertaking.
There is a warrant from Fort McMurray on the accused, who remains in custody.
