Evil Dead the Musical comes to life at the Suncor Energy Centre for the Performing Arts from Dec. 12-14, 2019.
Director Hanna Fridhed said showgoers will enjoy the raucous rock musical that includes comedy, romance, music and dancing zombies.
“This is an extremely entertaining show. It brings all the best parts of the cult splatter movie genre to the stage. Prepare for a wild ride!”
Fridhed said the show combines elements from the Evil Dead movie franchise: The Evil Dead, Evil Dead 2, and Army of Darkness.
She also mentioned that it’s for mature audiences, so she advises viewer discretion.
The story features five college kids who venture to an abandoned cabin in the woods, where an evil force transforms them into zombies.
The main character, Ash must save the day armed with a chainsaw.
Fridhed said the all-local production will showcase a crazy, funny, and bloody theatrical experience.
