The Municipality’s Parks team unveiled an outdoor skating trail so residents can enjoy the wintry weather.

Skaters of all ages and skill levels will be in a festive mood as holiday lights adorn overhead.

The Lion’s Park Skating Trail is open seven days a week until 11 p.m., weather permitting.

While skating is free on the trail, the Municipality asks users to skate with caution.

Also, please share the trail and be mindful of other skaters and skill levels.

The trail does not permit hockey sticks and pucks.

However, hockey enthusiasts may play in any one of the open outdoor boarded rinks that are available in Wood Buffalo.

For information on the skating trail and other outdoor activities, go to the Municipality’s website and access the Interactive Map.
