Santas Anonymous was able to deliver 550 hampers throughout the community for Christmas

Anna Dolling, is a grade 12 student at Father Patrick Mercredi Community High School and was one of four head leaders of Santas Anonymous.

She said it was amazing with everyone helping, including the six assistant head leaders.

“We had so many students to help organize everything. I think we had over 100 student volunteers.”

Many members of the community helped with their largest annual fundraiser, the Miracle Marathon. Rogers radio stations, Country 93.3 and 97.9 ROCK held a two day radio event at all the Save-on-Foods locations collecting monetary, gift card and toy donations.

“Including the supermarket spree, we raised over $78,000,” said Dolling.

She says being a head leader of Santas Anonymous was a great way embrace the true meaning of the holiday.

“It was very eye opening. You just don’t realize the support that others need, especially during the time of Christmas. It was just such an amazing experience to know that you are giving back to the community during Christmas time.”

Anna says after working with Santas Anonymous she feels a lot more appreciative and grateful and will miss it when she graduates.
