Rural crime continues to be a major topic in Wood Buffalo.

Police and Municipal volunteers hope to address questions and concerns about that issue in a pair of community meetings.

Wood Buffalo RCMP and the RMWB announced they would host two community town hall meetings in January 2020.

Residents in Fort Chipewyan are welcome to attend the first meeting at the Mamawi Community Centre on Jan. 20 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Plus, the Conklin Multiplex is the venue for the second on Jan. 30 which will also run from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Police and municipal staff encourage residents to bring their questions, suggestions, ideas, and concerns regarding rural crime, law enforcement, and policing in their community.

Refreshments, coffee, tea, and water will be provided as well.
