NHL Alumni will be coming to Fort McMurray for a fundraising dinner in support of the Keyano Huskies.

Former players for both the Montreal Canadiens and the Toronto Maple Leafs, Doug Gilmour and Shayne Corson will be the guest speakers for The Rivalry Dinner on March 27.

Gilmour played for the Leafs from 1992 to 1996 and the Canadiens from 2001 to 2003 and has a Stanley Cup ring with the Calgary Flames from the 1988-89 season.

Corson played for the Canadiens from 1986 to 1992, 1996 to 2000 and then played for Leafs in 2000 to 2003.

The two respected NHL players will share stories as they reflect on their part of the longest NHL Rivalry and answer audience questions

Jim Knight, Athletics Manager of the Keyano Huskies said all proceeds from the tickets will go towards the athletic department

“To help us with our teams for travel, scholarships, equipment facility rentals, busing…expenses keep going up from year to year and this dinner is going to help us offset some of those costs.”

The steak dinner will be catered by Northern Lights Catering and will also feature a live and silent auction, a jail and bail and more interactive games.

“It’s a different event for Keyano Athletics,” added Knight. “It’s jeans and jerseys, make sure you wear your favourite team’s jersey and come enjoy the night.”

Single tickets for the event $150 with tables of 10 for $1,250 are available online and at the Keyano Theatre Box Office.
