After 15 seasons in the NHL and overseas, Scottie Upshall announced he will hang up the skates.
Born in Fort McMurray in 1983, Upshall scored 138 goals and 285 points over his professional career for six different NHL teams.
He played for the Oil Barons during the 99-2000 season racking up 26 goals and 52 points in 52 games that season.
Also, Upshall won gold with Team Canada in the Spengler Cup competition in Switzerland earlier this year.
