Albertans can add their voices to the mix of opinion about what the province’s role should be within Confederation.

The Fair Deal Committee launched an online survey.

Residents may submit feedback and ideas on the panel’s website until March 15, 2020.

Committee Chair Oryssia Lennie said they connected with thousands of Albertans in town halls across the province and received formal submissions from municipalities.

“We know there are more who may have ideas to share. We encourage all Albertans to take this survey and make their voices heard on how we can best advance Alberta’s interests on the national stage.”

The Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo submitted a list of recommendations to the committee following its Feb. 25 council meeting.

Premier Jason Kenney struck the Fair Deal Committee in November 2019.

Committee member and Fort McMurray-Wood Buffalo MLA Tany Yao said to expect its final report by March 31, 2020.
