Police look for man suspected in two downtown robberies

Wood Buffalo RCMP look for clues to find a male suspect possibly involved in a pair of downtown robberies.

Police responded to two armed robberies the night of Feb. 28, 2020, near the intersection of Morrison St and Franklin Ave.

At 5:30 p.m., the suspect entered one business attempting an armed robbery.

Then, at 5:50 p.m., he entered a different business and stole several items.

Police believe the man is responsible for both incidents and ask for assistance from the public.

The suspect is dark-skinned, stands between five feet seven to 10 inches tall, has a medium build, and between 20 to 30 years of age.

He wore a dark jacket, a hoodie and carried a Sobey’s reusable grocery bag.
