RMWB asks for input on winter maintenance

As winter draws to a close, the Municipality seeks input on the winter maintenance (WMZ) of Fort McMurray roads.

Until April 15, 2020, residents may fill an online survey on the WMZ program.

A forum is available for residents to share their thoughts and ideas on winter maintenance on city streets.

The Municipality will also host a series of public engagement sessions about the service.

Residents may attend any of the three scheduled sessions and speak with members of the RMWB Public Works department.

The first session takes place on March 16 from 5 – 8 p.m. inside the main lobby of Holy Trinity Catholic High School.

MacDonald Island Park will host the next two at the main concourse in the Suncor Community Leisure Centre on March 19 from 4 – 8 p.m., and again on April 9 from 4 – 8 p.m.

Information and feedback from residents will help refine the WMZ program for use in future winter seasons.

More information about winter maintenance zones is available on the Municipality’s website.
