EDMONTON (660 NEWS) – There’s some good news for Alberta’s Chief Medical Officer.
Dr. Deena Hinshaw confirmed on Twitter she has tested negative for the novel coronavirus.
Hinshaw was in self-isolation after showing symptoms of a cold on Monday and was tested for COVID-19.
It’s important to underline that no one is exempt from staying home when sick, even with mild symptoms.
If you’re not feeling well, stay home. Self-isolate. Do not risk exposing Albertans if you’re sick. (2/3)

In her Twitter post, she stressed the importance of self-isolation if you’re feeling unwell, regardless of whether your illness is because of coronavirus.
“Self-isolating is the right choice and the compassionate choice. We must do what we can to help one another,” said Hinshaw.
She is expected to provide an update on COVID-19 in Alberta at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.
