Wood Buffalo RCMP responded to a report of shots fired inside an apartment complex in Timberlea on Saturday, March 15 around 6:30 a.m.
Police located two adult males suffering from non-life-threatening injuries and one adult male suffering serious life-threatening injuries.
The three males were transported by EMS to hospital.
Police do not believe this was a random incident.
As the investigation continues RCMP are looking to speak with anyone that may have video or dash camera footage from the area of 200 Lougheed Drive.
