Council has voted to bring in additional measures in response to COVID-19.
One measure introduced allows residents to defer municipal utility payments until July 2020.
While invoices and statements will still be sent out, the municipality will not charge penalties.
Penalties will start to be applied to outstanding balances in August 2020.
This change applies to both residential and commercial services.
One thing to note is that pre-authorized payment withdrawals will continue as normal.

Council also voted to temporarily suspend the Single Use Shopping Bag Bylaw.

The temporary suspension will remain in effect for the duration of the pandemic.
