EDMONTON — There are now 67 new cases of COVID-19 in Alberta, bringing the total number of cases in the province up to 486.
Of those cases, 34 are believed to have come from community transmission, an increase of one from Wednesday.
On a positive note, 27 people are said to have fully recovered from the disease, leaving 459 people currently infected with COVID-19.
Alberta’s top doctor, Dr. Deena Hinshaw, says that 21 people are currently in hospital with 10 people in the ICU.

There are now 13 cases of COVID-19 at the Mackenzie Towne long term care facility where a deceased Calgarian lived.

There has also now been an online assessment tool developed for health care workers who are developing COVID-19 symptoms.
The online page is expected to be up and running for Friday.
Dr. Hinshaw addressed the number of cases in the province and how 486 doesn’t seem as scary as government officials are playing it out to be.
She says that people need to remember that the current case numbers are only the ones that have been confirmed, whereas there are likely many more that have yet to be diagnosed.
