The Alberta government reported the fourth case of COVID-19 in the RMWB.

It’s also the third confirmed case in as many days.

All four cases are within the urban service area of Fort McMurray.

The announcement comes hours before a special RMWB Council meeting, which begins at 7 p.m.

Mayor and Councillors will debate a 17-part motion to develop plans to better protect the region from COVID-19.

Alberta reported 56 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total to 542.

There are 30 cases in the AHS North Zone, or six per cent of the total amount.

Calgary Zone has the most confirmed and presumptive cases of the virus with 337 or 62 per cent.
