OTTAWA (1310 NEWS) – The National Student Loan Services Centre (NSLSC) is doing what it can to help current and former students, financially, during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The NSLSC sent out an email Sunday, saying all student loan repayment will be suspended until September 30, 2020.

Pre-authorized payments will be automatically put on hold.

For those who are still able to make payments, the NSLSC will also not be charging interest during this time.

The NSLSC also adds that it may take some time for the measures to be applied to students’ online accounts, so their loan accounts may temporarily show incorrect information.
