The Alberta government confirmed the number of cases of COVID-19 in the RMWB is now three.

All three remaining cases of the virus are within the urban service area of Fort McMurray.

The Alberta website previously reported four cases of the virus.

Tom McMillan, Assistant Director of Communications with Alberta Health Services, said changes occur when health officials receive new information.

“Cases are not being removed from the map as they are resolved, so that would be a case of new information becoming available about the individual’s local geographic area.”

McMillan added he could not comment on detailed information of specific cases.

Alberta reported 64 new cases of COVID-19 and one more death.

The new total to 754 cases and nine deaths.
