Alberta reported the third recovery from COVID-19 in Fort McMurray’s urban service area.

There are six cases of the virus in the region.

Three of the four active cases in Fort McMurray are now resolved, and there are two active cases in Wood Buffalo’s rural areas.

On March 31, Tom McMillan, Assistant Director of Communications with Alberta Health Services, said changes occur when health officials receive new information.

“Cases are not being removed from the map as they are resolved, so that would be a case of new information becoming available about the individual’s local geographic area.”

To date, 447 Albertans recovered from the virus.

Alberta reported 25 new cases in the province for a total of 1373, including 26 deaths.

Detailed breakdowns on COVID-19 in Alberta are available on the province’s website.
