Children in the municipality can help design the mascot for the 2022 Arctic Winter Games (AWG).
Kids can choose from a buffalo, beaver, lynx or raven and then design a costume and name the mascot.
Kim Rizzi, general manager of the Wood Buffalo 2022 AWG said the “Design the Mascot Contest” is important to not only the games, but the events leading up to the games.
“We are excited to see what the children of the Wood Buffalo will design and imagine as the ambassador of this exciting event.”
From April 15th until May 15th and children from ages 5 to 12 can submit their drawings.
The winning artist will receive a Wood Buffalo 2022 Arctic Winter Games prize pack and be a guest of honour at the 2022 AWG Mascot Reveal Party.
The design will also be displayed on social media.
