RMWB Council announced they will meet on April 20, 2020.

This special in-camera meeting will include Indigenous leaders from Fort Chipewyan.

They will discuss the proposed “Fort Chipewyan Social Distancing Enforcement” bylaw.

Council deferred the motion to pass the bylaw on April 14, 2020.

The bylaw deals with enforcing public-health orders relating to COVID-19 response.

If approved, the bylaw could also include a curfew for all residents of the hamlet from 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m.
