One new case of COVID-19 in Fort McMurray

The province is reporting 165 new cases of COVID-19 in the province, one of which is in Fort McMurray’s Urban Service Area.

That brings the total active cases to three, while there are no new cases in the rural areas of the region.

Province-wide there are a total 2,562 cases, with 1,162 recoveries.

The following is a breakdown of cases by zone:

 

Of the current cases, 57 people are in hospital, 14 of which are in ICU.

One person has died since Friday’s update, bringing the total number of deaths in the province to 51.

Of those deaths 32 are residents at continuing-care facilities.

In the last 24 hours, 4,092 tests have been completed.

To date there have been 96,897 tests performed by the lab.

There are now 137 cases in the North Zone.
