Wood Buffalo RCMP are encouraging people to wear red on Friday, April 24, to pay tribute to Cst. Heidi Stevenson and the other victims of the tragic Nova Scotia shooting.

Red Fridays began as a movement by the military to support troops in Afghanistan, and was later adopted to honour fallen Mounties after the 2014 Moncton shooting.

The National Police Federation is also inviting Canadians across the country to participate in the social media campaign #WearRedFriday.

Ensure that the photos are appropriate and every person photographed gives consent for it to be posted online.
