Alberta reports 216 more COVID-19 cases, one more death

No new cases have been reported for the RMWB.

Alberta is reporting 216 new cases of COVID-19 bringing the total to 4,233 across the province.

There are 10 active cases in the Fort McMurray Urban Service Area with four cases recovered.

Elsewhere in the RMWB there are two active cases and two recoveries.

Across the province there have been 1,471 recovered cases, 127,165 tests completed and 73 deaths.

Close to 400 cases are suspected of being spread through community transmission.

Most of the cases, 2,964, are in the Calgary zone. The Edmonton zone has 475 cases, the south zone has 510 cases, the north zone has 173 cases, the central zone has 83 cases and 28 cases have yet to be confirmed.

There are currently 77 people in hospital, 20 of which are in Intensive Care Units.

Canada now has 44,569 cases and 2,351 deaths.
