Wood Buffalo RCMP thank public for support

Wood Buffalo RCMP is thanking residents for their support following the loss of Cst. Heidi Stevenson and the others who lost their lives on April 18 and 19.

“Heidi paid the ultimate sacrifice to protect Canadians. Entire communities in Nova Scotia, and across Canada, are mourning the loss of family members, friends and neighbours.”

RCMP said whether is was the motorcade driving by the detachment or wearing read on April 24, they are grateful for the support.

It also noted that police are committed to the safety and security of residents.

Under our current circumstances of COVID-19, the tragedies in Nova Scotia and the current flood situation, they will continue to answer calls.
