Around 1,230 structures impacted by floodwaters, assessment ongoing

The flood warning for the Athabasca and Clearwater rivers is no longer in effect.

The ice jam on the Clearwater near Draper released on May 2 and water is flowing freely into the Athabasca.

The evacuation order for Draper has been lifted, with the exception of Garden Lane.

Around 3,680 people whose homes were affected are still evacuated, including 19 in Draper.

So far, around 1,230 structures have been affected by the floodwaters.

According to a statement from the province Fort McMurray Composite High School and Father Turcotte School are included in the structures affected.

Evacuees should register with the Canadian Red Cross at 1-800-863-6582.

Canada Post has suspended all mail delivery to Fort McMurray.

You can now apply for emergency evacuation payments of $1,250 per adult and $500 per child.

The boil water advisory for Fort McMurray, Anzac, Draper, Gregoire Lake Estates and Saprae Creek Estates is still in effect.

An ice jam watch is still in place along the Athabasca from Firebag River to the Peace Athabasca Delta about 65 km north of Fort McKay.
