The Municipality has announced load limits on gravel roads will be lowered to 75 per cent of the gross vehicle weight effective immediately, until further notice.
The following gravel roads are affected:
- West Road, Conklin
- Stoney Mountain Crossover, Cheecham Hills
- Draper Road (gravel section only), Fort McMurray
- Tower Road, Fort McMurray
- Aostra Road, West of Suncor off Hwy 63
Restrictions help preserve the lifespan of roads, some roads are restricted to reduced axle weights due to seasonal conditions such as spring thaw.
