CN working to clean up train derailment near Anzac

The 16 derailed rail cars contained petroleum coke, an inert, non-hazardous, by-product of the refining process. There is no danger to public safety and there were no injuries.

CN crews continue to work at the site of a train derailment in Anzac that happened in the morning of Monday, May 4.

Crews have finished removing the 16 derailed rail cars and are now working at repairing the low-lying bridge over the muskeg where the derailment occurred.

There is no danger to public safety as there were no injuries, fires or dangerous goods involved.
