Roll out the dark blue bins for yard waste.

The Municipality announced the curbside collection of yard waste such as grass clippings, leaves, flowers, weeds, plants and small twigs and sticks starts Tuesday, May 12.

Residents from the urban service area, Draper, Saprae Creek Estates, Gregoire Lake Estates and Anzac should place un-bagged waste into dark blue bins.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, waste in these bins will prevent collection crews from physically handling bags.

Place dark blue bins of yard waste at the curb by 7:30 a.m. on the scheduled collection day.

Crews will continue collecting bagged garbage from the black and light blue collection bins per week.

The response to COVID-19 also called for a halt to recycling until further notice.
