No new COVID-19 cases in the region for nine days

There has been no new COVID-19 cases in the region for nine days.

Fort McMurray has three active cases with 19 recoveries in the Urban Service Area and two recoveries elsewhere in the RMWB.

Alberta reported 96 new cases on Sunday, May 10, to bring the total number of cases in the province to 6,243.

Alberta’s COVID-19 hospitalization rates remain low with 71 people currently in hospital, 13 of whom are in intensive care.

In total, 4,389 Albertans have recovered from COVID-19 bringing the number of total active cases to 1,747 for the province.

The province also reported an additional death to bring the death toll to 117.
