Community Futures Wood Buffalo, Fort McMurray Chamber of Commerce, Fort McMurray Construction Association, Northeastern Alberta Aboriginal Business Association and the Wood Buffalo Economic Corporation (WBEDC) have come together to create a business support portal.

The website puts federal, provincial and local resources all in one spot.

It will include relevant COVID-19 information and flood business resources.

CEO of the WBEDC and Chair of the Business Recovery Task Force Kevin Weidlich said reopening the economy won’t be easy.

“We get one chance to reopen safely – let’s take the time to communicate the importance of keeping each other safe. We are investing in a multi-touchpoint campaign that captures our culture of safety in our community and reminds us that if we follow the rules and stay informed we can return to work safely together.”

The information on the website is specific to our region’s unique circumstances.

The portal will continually be updated with new information.

You’re encouraged to use #GoingBackTogether to share stories of how we’re getting back together safely.

The campaign focuses on the fact that reopening is something we have to do together.
