Alberta reports 39 new COVID-19 cases and another death

Alberta reported 39 new cases of COVID-19 on May 18, bringing the number of total active cases to 1,036.

In total, 5,519 Albertans have recovered from COVID-19.

There is one active case in the Fort McMurray Urban Service Area and 22 recoveries.

Elsewhere in the RMWB there is one active case and three recoveries.

The province also reported an additional death to bring the death toll to 128.

Hospitalization rates remain low with 65 people currently in hospital, nine of whom are in intensive care.

In the last 24 hours, 3,458 tests have been completed with 199, 237 people being tested in total.
