RCMP warns region about wanted Northwest Territories man

RCMP from the Northwest Territories issued an arrest warrant for a man who could be in the RMWB.

Behchoko RCMP said 44-year-old Steven Theriault left the scene of a fatal single-vehicle collision on April 22, 2020.

The collision resulted in the death of a female passenger and injuries to two others.

Police added they believe drugs and alcohol factored in the incident.

Theriault may be in the Northwest Territories, Alberta, the greater Edmonton area, northern Alberta, or the RMWB.

Behchoko RCMP described Theriault as Indigenous, five feet and eight inches tall, and 230 lbs with black hair and brown eyes.

Behchoko, NT, is about 100 kilometres northwest of Yellowknife.
