Keyano College decided on online delivery of classes in the Fall semester, where appropriate.

Responding to challenges from the COVID-19 pandemic, the post-secondary institution said it can adapt to any future changes in provincial guidelines.

The school said this would allow its teams to fully plan for the Fall semester intake.

Keyano College said it remains hopeful in-class instruction would resume in the coming year.

Keyano also will deliver limited in-person learning in labs and shop classes following guidance from Alberta Health Services (AHS).

2020-21 Continuing Education course registration begins on June 22.

Keyano said it will support students with online access to resources and virtual opportunities to connect with faculty and staff.

“Our priority remains keeping students and staff healthy and safe. While this remains a changing situation with many unknowns, we want to assure our community that we commit to provide an exceptional experience for students, one that will prepare them for a career or for further education.”

Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training (AIT) will announce the resumption of Keyano’s apprenticeship programs in the coming days.

Registration for fall programs opens on May 27 through the Keyano College website.
