The Jeremy Snook Memorial Palliative Suites at the Northern Lights Health Centre are complete.

Each of the three spacious suites features a patient room and family room with kitchenette and accommodation for overnight stays, along with a shared bathroom and a secure family lounge.

Each suite has room for family and friends to gather for end of life ceremonies, consultation with medical staff and quiet space.

The suites, located on the third floor of the hospital, mark a major milestone for the Northern Lights Health Foundation’s Gratitude Campaign.

The $1.68 million project was completely funded by the Gratitude Campaign and through proceeds of the Jeremy Snook Memorial Raffle, which ran from 2015 to 2017.

The suites have been named in honour of Jeremy Snook, who passed away in 2013.

Jeremy’s parents, Gail and Brian created the memorial raffle and were instrumental in attracting donations and attention to the project.

The three suites are named after lead donors – the Imperial Oil Suite, the Fouts Family Suite, and the RE/MAX Fort McMurray Suite.

Construction of the project started in September 2019 and were expected to be complete by this summer.
