Results from the Canadian Index of Wellbeing (CIW) survey that took place last year will be presented by the University of Waterloo on May 29.

The survey was done to better understand the quality of life of the residents in the RMWB.

The CIW Committee of Wood Buffalo will release the results via a Zoom webinar.

You’re encouraged to join the webinar live, but a recording will also be posted to FuseSocial’s website, YouTube, Facebook and Twitter.

Executive Director of FuseSocial, Chantal Beaver said that the results from the CIW will help leaders make informed decisions.

“It is important that surveys like this continue to inform the decision-making process so that even those who are not the most vocal in our communities have their lives improved when it comes to the decisions that affect our region.”

The region first completed the CIW survey in 2014 during the height of economic growth for the region.

With significant changes faced in recent years, the presentation will compare the 2014 results to 2019.

It will identify areas where residents are facing challenges with their wellbeing.

The webinar will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
