Residents and businesses in Beacon Hill now have clean drinking water.

Alberta Health Services lifted the Boil Water Advisory for the area on June 6.

Deputy CAO Matthew Hough thanked government partners, consultants, and contractors for their assistance.

“These [coordinated] efforts will continue until potable water service is fully restored.”

Residents should follow manufacturer’s recommendations when draining, flushing, cleaning, and disinfecting water line connections.

The RMWB is in the final phase of its plan to lift the Boil Water Advisory for Gregoire, Prairie Creek, Saprae Creek, Timberlea and Taiga Nova.

It estimated time of completion within the next three weeks.

Crews continue to flush hydrants and use dechlorination pucks.

Water is safe to consume once brought to a rolling boil for at least one minute.
