The Municipality announced further progress in lifting the Boil Water Advisory.

Areas south of Athabasca Bridge such as Gregoire, Mackenzie Industrial Park, Prairie Creek, and the Airport lands now have potable water.

Alberta Health Services also lifted the advisory for Saline Creek Plateau, Henning Ridge, and Saprae Creek and Spruce Valley Estates.

Deputy CAO Matthew Hough said municipal staff are hard at work to deliver clean water to Timberlea and Taiga Nova.

“We have made extraordinary progress. Repairs of the Timberlea reservoir are progressing well. If all goes according to plan, we expect to start flushing this weekend.”

Alberta Health Services has several water safety guidelines for residents and businesses in these areas of the region to follow.
