Tips lead RCMP to nab hit and run driver

Wood Buffalo RCMP arrested 29-year-old Jordan Daniel Marshall on numerous charges relating to dangerous driving.

On June 8 at 6:00 p.m., RCMP responded to a building near Prairie Loop Boulevard and Tolen Drive.

Police received information that a Black Chevrolet Silverado caused damage to the building and fled the scene.

They received more tips about the Silverado driving dangerously, swerving in and out of traffic, and nearly colliding with other vehicles.

RCMP stopped the vehicle near Highway 63 and Confederation Way and arrested the male driver.

Jordan Daniel Marshall faces the following charges:

  • Resist Arrest, Section 129 (a) of the Criminal Code of Canada (C.C.C.),
  • Mischief Over $5000, Section 430(3) C.C.C.,
  • Fail to Stop at Accident x 2, Section 320.16(1) C.C.C.,
  • Drive While Unauthorized, Section 320.18 C.C.C.,
  • Operate a Conveyance Dangerous to the Public, Section 320.13 C.C.C.,
  • Operate a Conveyance and Fail to Stop for Police, Section 320.17 C.C.C.,
  • Operate a Conveyance While Impaired, Section 320.14(1)(a) C.C.C., and
  • Fail to Provide or Refuse to Comply with Breath Demand, Section 320.15(1) C.C.C.

 

Marshall’s next scheduled court appearance is July 29, 2020.
