Wood Buffalo RCMP ask for the public’s assistance and information to help locate a break-and-enter suspect.

Police responded to Thickwood during the late morning hours of June 6, 2020.

They received several reports of confirmed and attempted break-and-enters to area residences.

RCMP collected surveillance and dash-camera footage of the area between June 5 around 12:00 a.m. until June 6 at 6:00 a.m.

Doorbell cameras recorded a male suspect wearing baggy pants, a grey and black zip-up hooded sweatshirt, and dark coloured pants.

In some footage, police said they saw the suspect carrying a bag or stuffing items in his upper clothing.

RCMP say the man is black and in his 20s, six feet tall, and approximately 200 lbs.

The suspect would attempt to enter residences via the front door.

Residents provided more information about the suspect claiming he was between Signal Road and Silin Forest Road at 3:30 a.m.

Wood Buffalo RCMP said they would continue their investigation and review the rest of the camera footage.

They hope to release more photographs of the suspect to the public.
