Deputy Commissioner Curtis Zablocki said the RCMP will continue working with citizens, community groups, and other partners.

“The safety and security of citizens [have] always been the number one priority of the Alberta RCMP, and it will continue to be as long as we have the privilege of being Alberta’s Provincial Police Service.”

Zablocki said the RCMP will continue to modernize its policing services in the province.

“We know the needs and concerns of Albertans play a large role in shaping how those services and processes will evolve.”

According to an Ipsos survey from November 2019, 65 per cent of Albertans agree the province gets its fair share from Confederation.
