ALERT makes significant drug bust in Parsons Creek

RCMP arrested a man following the seizure of almost $63,000 worth of crack cocaine and cash.

On June 18, Alberta Law Enforcement Response Team (ALERT) Fort McMurray executed a search warrant at a residence in a Parsons Creek subdivision.

Investigators seized 449 grams of crack cocaine and more than $18,000 cash.

Inspector Sean Boser with ALERT Regional Teams said it is a significant drug seizure for Fort McMurray.

“ALERT is proud to work with its partner agencies to keep dangerous drugs like these off the streets of Alberta communities.”

Police would eventually make an arrest in downtown Fort McMurray.

RCMP charged 27-year-old Razwanullah Rahmani of Calgary with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and possession of proceeds of crime.

His next court appearance is Aug. 25, 2020.
