Fort McMurray welcomes report of more COVID-19 recoveries

The Alberta government reported one new case and three more recoveries from COVID-19 in Fort McMurray.

There are 13 active cases and 29 recovered cases in the urban service area.

Numbers in Wood Buffalo’s rural areas remain unchanged at 11 and three respectively.

Testing and other COVID-19 outbreak measures continue at the Rotary House long-term care facility.

On June 25, Dr Deena Hinshaw, chief medical officer of health, confirmed one positive case of the illness at the seniors home.

Across the province, there are 37 new cases and no deaths from COVID-19 in the last 24 hours.

There are 509 active cases of COVID-19 with 37 Albertans in hospital, including eight in intensive care.

The death toll stands at 154, with 7225 Albertans recovering from COVID-19 up 34 from yesterday’s report.

To date, health officials tested 373,437 Albertans.
